312 Media was founded by two friends who spent years trapped in the confines
of traditional broadcast news. Drawn by the infinite possibilities of video and
multimedia on the web, we started our own production company armed with
nothing more than HD cameras, Mac laptops and a determination to produce
the highest quality video for the internet.
On our first big project, you might say we hit a home run. In the Spring of 2007,
we produced a streaming video series for the Chicago White Sox and their
website. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences gave us quite
an endorsement in March 2008, when they nominated this series for an Emmy
award in the category of 'Outstanding New Approaches'. The nomination put
us in the same category as ESPN.com and NFL.com.
While we were certainly excited about this honor, our goal is to make it the first
of many such accolades in the ever-expanding realm of online video.
